Hyalu B5 is one of La Roche-Posay’s best-known ranges, built on hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. This year the brand added a new product to the line, the Hyalu B5 Suractivated Cream, and gave the existing serum a new formula. It presents the two as a hydration and plumping duo.
What’s in the Cream
The new cream combines three types of hyaluronic acid with ectoin and vitamin B5, ingredients chosen to hydrate the skin and support its barrier. La Roche-Posay says it hydrates for 72 hours and has a clinically measured effect on fine lines, texture and radiance. In the brand’s consumer study, 88% of participants said their skin looked firmer after two months of use.
What’s Changed in the Serum
The reformulated Hyalu B5 Suractivated Serum now uses what the brand calls a “4 hyaluronic acid system”, which it says delivers 27 times more hyaluronic acid into the skin. The barrier-repairing ingredients from the original formula remain.
The GLP-1 Angle
The launch addresses a conversation that has grown alongside the rise of GLP-1 weight-loss medication: changes to the skin, such as loss of firmness and dry fine lines.
La Roche-Posay ran a consumer study with 112 GLP-1 users, each of whom had been on the medication for at least three months and had at least three concerns among loss of firmness, dry fine lines and reduced elasticity. They used the serum and cream twice daily. After four weeks:
- 94% said the routine addressed their GLP-1-related skin concerns
- 90% saw smoother, firmer, more radiant skin
These are brand-run consumer results based on what participants reported, not an independent clinical trial.
Where to Find It
The cream is available now. In the US, it’s sold through laroche-posay.us, Amazon and major beauty and pharmacy retailers.
