Charles & Alexandra A Monaco Love Story

The Formula 1 world's most beloved driver married his love in the city he calls home quietly, intimately, and with a $40 million Ferrari as the getaway car.

They drove away in a 1957 Ferrari worth $40 million. Their dog wore a black tuxedo. And the entire Formula 1 world found out only when it was already over. Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux did things entirely on their own terms and the result was one of the most romantic weddings of 2026.

Monaco has always been a city of speed, glamour and quiet discretion. It was fitting, then, that its most famous son chose it as the setting for the most important day of his life. On February 28, 2026, just days before the opening race of the Formula 1 season, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc married Alexandra Saint Mleux in a civil ceremony so private that the world only learned of it when the newlyweds posted about it themselves.

The wedding was held at the Mairie de Monaco on the Rock, with only close family members present. No press. No fanfare. Just the people who mattered most and one very well-dressed dachshund.

Their Story

From Wimbledon to the Altar

Charles and Alexandra’s love story began in the most unlikely of places a whisper of a rumour in March 2023, followed by a very public confirmation at Wimbledon that July, where they were photographed together for the first time as a couple. From that moment, Alexandra became a familiar and warmly welcomed presence in the F1 paddock, accompanying Leclerc to races and winning over fans with her warmth, elegance and obvious devotion to both her husband and their beloved dog, Leo.

The engagement came in November 2025, announced in the most Leclerc fashion imaginable through a rose-petal proposal that featured Leo wearing a bow-tie collar engraved with the message:

“Dad wants to marry you.” The internet, predictably, adored it.

The Day

Intimate, Elegant, Unforgettable

Alexandra wore a breathtaking gown by Australian couture house Paolo Sebastian a crystal-embroidered lace creation that caught the Monaco light with every movement. She paired it with jewellery from Graff and a hairstyle by Laurie Zanoletti, and carried a bouquet of white flowers that perfectly complemented the understated elegance of the day.

Charles, ever stylish, chose a pale beige suit with a matching tie a look that was both refined and relaxed, perfectly suited to a man who has always carried his fame with quiet confidence.

Following the civil ceremony, the couple celebrated at Villa La Vigie one of Monaco’s most iconic venues, perched above the Mediterranean with panoramic views of the coastline. The reception was filled with white lilies, baby’s breath and the kind of laughter that only comes from being exactly where you are supposed to be.

Their wedding cake was multi-layered and exquisite and included a tiny Leo cake topper on the side, complete with a miniature bite taken from it. Of course.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds drove through Monaco’s sun-drenched streets in a rare 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa one of only 33 ever made, and estimated to be worth between $12 million and $40 million. Leo sat contentedly in Alexandra’s lap. The moment was captured on video and went instantly viral.

What's Next

Part Two Is Coming

Both Charles and Alexandra were clear this was only the beginning. Speaking ahead of the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, Leclerc described the ceremony as “very small and secret in a way, which we really enjoyed,” adding that a larger celebration with all their closest friends would follow in 2027.

“Dream. Can’t wait to marry you all over again next year.”

For now, Charles Leclerc newly married, deeply happy flew directly from Monaco to Melbourne to begin the 2026 Formula 1 season. He took his wedding memories to the cockpit. Alexandra updated her Instagram bio to simply read: “Alexandra Leclerc.”

Monaco had given the world another great love story. And this one was just getting started.
