Some artists grow into music slowly, but others seem to be carried toward it by something deeper emotion, storytelling, instinct. For Gabriela Teleaga, a rising international songwriter who performs under the name CRYSTYLLY, music wasn’t just a passion. It was a natural continuation of her own voice.
Today, Gabriela stands at the beginning of an exciting creative era, preparing to release her first EP, shaping a unique sound, and inspiring listeners with songs rooted in honesty, catharsis, and strength.
In this Voyage Immersive feature, she shares the story behind her artistry one built on poetry, vulnerability, and a desire to give power to others through her music.
From Slam Poetry to Songwriting
Gabriela’s musical journey began long before she entered a studio. Seven years ago, she was performing at slam poetry contests, writing emotional pieces and rhymed stories for the stage.
When the contests ended, her writing didn’t. Instead, something new emerged quiet, accidental melodies that found their way into her thoughts as she wrote. Without planning it, lyrics and music fused together.
Her first studio experience came when friends music producers helped her create her debut track. She laughs about it now, calling the song “not good,” but one moment shaped her path forever:
A friend told her about the power and responsibility of music.
That thought stayed with her and quietly began shaping the artist she would become.

A Creative Process That Heals
Gabriela describes her creative process in three words:
Cathartic. Unconscious. Raw.
Songwriting is not her diary poured onto a page. Instead, she approaches music with respect, using storytelling to bring clarity to complex emotions.
Writing becomes a way to explore a problem, travel through it, and eventually find a light at the end.
She doesn’t force concepts. She lets them happen.
And she never censors “difficult” emotions not revenge, not anger, not pain.
To her, every emotion deserves expression.
Finding Purpose Through a Fan
For Gabriela, the turning point in her career came unexpectedly in the form of a message from a young girl.
After releasing her song “The Hotel of Broken Toys,” she received a message from a 15-year-old cancer patient who listened to the song during chemotherapy. The girl said Gabriela’s music gave her strength, and she even began creating artwork inspired by the song to encourage other patients.
That message changed everything.
It helped Gabriela understand her purpose:
She wanted to give people strength.
Once she found that, her musical identity naturally followed.

New Music on the Horizon
Gabriela is now preparing to release her debut EP, an alternative-pop collection with touches of rock.
Some of the upcoming song titles include:
Golden Days
Borderline
In Your Hallway
She is equally excited about the videos and visual content being created to accompany the EP a project she believes will show more of her artistic identity than ever before.
What She Hopes Listeners Feel
Music can be many things escape, healing, expression.
For Gabriela, it’s hope.
She wants her listeners to feel:
Relief
Freedom
Peace
Power
Connection
Even when emotions are dark, she believes music can transform them into something meaningful.
